How we handle your data

Compass form. We use your email to send you the Compass kit you requested. The legal basis is the fulfillment of your request for the kit (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you tick the consent box, we will also send you one follow-up email from Martin with tips on getting started with Compass and an offer of next steps. The legal basis for that is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. We keep your email for no more than two years from the last contact, or until you withdraw consent.

Booking a meeting. When you book a meeting through the link, you enter your name and email into the Google Calendar booking system. We use them only to prepare and hold the meeting. The legal basis is steps taken prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep the data for the duration of the negotiations and no more than two years from the last contact.

Email. When you write to us, we use your data to handle your inquiry and to communicate about a possible collaboration. The legal basis is steps taken prior to entering into a contract or our legitimate interest in replying to you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We keep the data for no more than two years from the last contact.

Netlify (website hosting and forms), Google (email, calendar and, with your consent, website analytics) and HubSpot (contact records). Data may be transferred to the USA on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses.

Strictly necessary. In your browser's storage (localStorage) we store only your choice in the cookie banner, so we don't keep asking you. After twelve months we ask again. We don't need your consent for this.

Website analytics. Only with your consent do we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited). It stores the cookies _ga and _ga_* for up to two years and measures which pages you read and where you came from. We keep traffic data for 14 months. Advertising features are turned off. Google may transfer data to the USA on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision (EU-US Data Privacy Framework). The legal basis is your consent (§ 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll. and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without your consent, Google Analytics does not load at all.

You can withdraw your consent at any time as easily as you gave it, using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Withdrawal does not affect measurement carried out before it. Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so loading them sends nothing to third parties.

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability, and the right to object. You can withdraw consent at any time using the link in every email you receive from us, or by writing to hello@smartin.work. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it. If you believe we are handling your data improperly, you can file a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).
